
Our Instructors
All T.A.G.B. Instructors must pass an extensive two part Instructors course, including practical and written examinations on all aspects of coaching and First Aid Training. These qualifications are recognised by the Sports Council through our affiliation to the British Tae Kwon-Do Council.
All our instructors that teach have the following:

Ben Cheriton
(5th Degree Black Belt)
Ben is the club's senior instructor. He has been training for 26 years and teaching for 16. During those years, the club, overseen by Ben, has produced multiple world champions.
A 5th Degree black belt and multiple time regional and national champion, Ben has had his own share of success in the ring and the dojang.
Ben teaches Tae Kwon Do to help others go on the journey that was so important to him.
“Tae Kwon Do played such a big part in my development as a child and eventually as an adult. I am hugely grateful to the organisation and the instructors who have helped start and continue my journey - now it's all about giving back, helping others build confidence and enjoy being part of our Tae Kwon-Do family”.

Cassie Greenberry
(4th Degree Black Belt)
Cassie is our main instructor for the juniors in our club and has been teaching for 7 years. She has been training in Tae Kwon-Do for 18 years and has been a member of the TAGB for 13 years.
She is extremely passionate about helping others to achieve their goals, regardless of their age or ability.
Her greatest achievements include winning Bronze in sparring in the 2023 World Championships. She is also the current South-West of England and South of England sparring champion.
Cassie is also a fully qualified sports massage therapist, and so helps with mobility maintenance and injury recovery for many of the adults in our club.

Alex Thomas
(4th Degree Black Belt)
Alex has been training in martial arts since 1992. He has a 4th Dan Black Belt in Tae Kwon-Do and a 3rd Dan in Judo.
His greatest achievements include gold at the English, Welsh and British Championships at different points in his career. Culminating in a bronze at the 2023 World Championships.
Alex runs our Thursday evening sessions at St Luke's School and teaches judo, self defence and fitness classes throughout the week. He specialises in self defence and the ability to transfer skills from various martial arts to one another to bring a variety of learning into our classes.
As a father and husband, he also teaches advanced motorcycling, speaks 3 languages and fixes aeroplanes.

Ethan Osborne-Whiting
(4th Degree Black Belt)
Ethan is our newest instructor to the team. He has been training for over 17 years and teaching for over 5 years.
Ethan is one of our most competitively involved members of the club and demonstrates success at almost every competition. His most recent achievements include gold at the South of England Championships in patterns, individual and team sparring. He is also the current Northern Ireland champion for both patterns & individual sparring.
As an instructor, Ethan specialises in helping students prepare for competitions, particularly in sparring and fitness. When not competing himself, you will always find Ethan supporting at ringside in every competition our club attends.
Senior Black Belts
Our growing number of senior level black belts assist in our sessions to give additional support. They are all high-achieving martial artists, holding national and international titles. They have the experience and understanding to help you set goals and implement training programmes to achieve them.
